MILLER-KEYSTONE BLOOD CENTER WEBSITE
LISTEN
Miller-Keystone Blood Center worked hard to keep their website fresh with new content. But over time, it became difficult to ensure that the most important content wasn’t getting buried, and that users could easily navigate the site.
Their goal: We need a simplified, modern website that will make it easy for users to become informed, involved, and inspired.
ADVISE
By distilling the information down into distinct sections, we can present it in a way that’s not overwhelming and entices the user to act. They should be inspired to donate blood or to become involved in other ways.
Our recommendations:
- Merge and purge—Consolidate content and say a lot with a little
- Direct traffic—Make it easy to find out how to donate
- Show and tell—Inspire visitors to donate blood by educating them
- Run with it—Continually manage content to avoid stockpiling information

ABOUT MILLER-KEYSTONE BLOOD CENTER
As the stand-alone provider of blood products and services for 22 local hospitals, Miller-Keystone Blood Center takes its mission very seriously. They partner with the community to help save lives by educating people, encouraging donations, and making it easy to get involved. Thanks to their efforts, local hospitals are closer to having a constant supply of safe, reliable blood products for patients in need.
EXECUTE
We worked closely with the client to condense content and develop simplified, responsive design. New artwork established a clean and consistent layout. Important articles were refashioned into video executions—a more approachable format for users. Separate spaces were created for everyday visitors, coordinators, and partners to improve ease of navigation.
EVALUATE
With the new site, it’s easier than ever for people to take part in the Miller-Keystone mission. We were able to help guide the client and give them the tools to continue to manage their own site.
In the end, they are able to develop a better connection with possible donors, which is what matters most. We’re proud to be a trusted resource as they continue their work of saving lives within the community.
